KR Gonzales is a queer Filipina-Canadian filmmaker and multimedia artist based in Vancouver, BC. Her work transforms natural landscapes into surreal and supernatural spaces, weaving her queer lived experience into its narratives.

KR holds a degree in AB Multimedia Arts from Asia Pacific College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production at the University of British Columbia.

Her film and media practice spreads across multiple disciplines: director of photography, camera assistant, production design, and gaffing.

Her directorial works have screened at CineFilipino Film Festival, Cinespectra Film Festival, Pelikultura: Calabarzon Film Festival, Cinema Rehiyon, Tokyo Deaf International Film Festival, and Thailand International Film Destination Festival.

She is a recipient of artistic and educational grants from the BC Arts Council, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, EON Foundation.
